Perrin Quarles Associates, Inc. Awarded EPA Clean Air Markets Division Support Contract
The award is PQA’s fifth major contract award for this division and first federal win as a large business
Charlottesville, Virginia – April 14, 2009 – Perrin Quarles Associates, Inc. (PQA), a leading provider of environmental consulting services to the public sector focusing on air quality and climate change, announced today that it has been awarded a five year contract supporting the Clean Air Markets Division within EPA's Office of Atmospheric Programs. The contract, entitled "Support for Clean Air Markets and Related Environmental Programs", has a total potential value of approximately $37 million. The award is PQA’s fifth major contract award for the Division and first federal win designated as a large business.
PQA's support under this contract will include information system development and implementation; technical support for emissions monitoring programs; development of emissions trading program guidelines, outreach, and implementation tools; assistance with regulation development tasks; and assistance with program performance evaluations and reports. All PQA support is intended to assist the Division in meeting goals that are central to its mission of protecting human health and the environment.
PQA President, Perrin Quarles, stated that "it is a privilege to be selected to continue the critical mission support work for EPA’s clean air markets programs that we began as a small business soon after the 1990 Clean Air Act Amendments were enacted."
