Ms. Swanson joined PQA in November 2006 as a quality assurance specialist and is assisting PQA's programming group in the development of major environmental information systems for the U.S. EPA and other clients. Her recent research work includes evaluating the respiratory effects of iron found on the particulate matter component of air pollution and evaluating the inflammatory potential of biodiesel emissions as part of her Master's Thesis. She has worked as a procurement coordinator for the Lions Eye Bank and she was a licensed veterinary technician. Ms. Swanson also spent two years in the Peace Corps teaching chemistry in Ghana.
